Come out to Waimea for a day of volunteering and giving back to the Valley!
Volunteers help with weeding, removing invasive species, maintaining pathways and gardens, and assisting with basic upkeep of cultural and archaeological sites. Your time and aloha directly support the well-being of Waimea Valley while deepening our shared connection to Hawaiian culture, history, and the land that sustains us.
Schedule:
8:30 am – 9:00 am: Check-in at Pu‘ukua worksite
9:00 am - 9:15 am: Overview & cultural protocol
9:15 –11:30am: Volunteer work begins
*Tools, training, and gloves are provided, and all volunteers receive free admission to the Valley on the day they volunteer.
Parking:
Free parking available at Lot 3 for all volunteers.
Who can join:
All ages are welcome. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Work will take place outdoors and in the elements.
What to bring:
Closed-toe shoes (required)
Refillable water bottle
Comfortable gardening clothing
Sunscreen and bug repellent
Be prepared for rain or shine
